Flying sets you free…right? This class puts the bondage in Japanese Rope Bondage. By restricting a persons movement we have a deeper psychological effect on the person being tied. This is a physically demanding class for both riggers and models.
Requirements:
Previous suspension experience (both models and riggers)
Lotus Seated Suspension

Using a hands free Hishi harness, this class will look at a sequence that results in the model sitting in a vertical seated lotus position.
Shapes on Bamboo (Part 1 and 2)

Create some beautiful shapes in your model while moving through a transition sequence on a Bamboo point.
Shapes on bamboo part 2 follows on from shapes on bamboo part one.

Strappado style torsion inversion

Yoko Zuri to Inversion

This beautiful transition sequence takes the classic Japanese Style side suspension and then transitions into an inversion. This is challenging to both model and rigger.
Vertical Bamboo

Bamboo poles are in vogue for suspension. This class takes bamboo to the next level by rotating it 90 degrees.

10 pieces of jute (7-8m long)

Previous Suspension experience (for both tops and bottoms)

In this class Mark and Lani will discuss, demonstrate and share techniques to maximise the quality of the time models spend in suspension.
Kinoko Style Transitions

Showcasing a series of transitions from Kinoko’s 12 transition sequence. Sequence starting and finishing point will depend on class skill level

Experience tying 3 rope Takatekote with good control on tension
Experience with suspension
Experience managing multiple suspension lines
Minimum 4 carabiners 8-10 ropes
