The Art & Energy of Touch
Hosted by Anna Nichols (@birdsofzenthai) – at Studio Kink Sydney.
Step into a 3-hour immersive workshop exploring the art and energy of intentional touch.
Human touch is a fundamental biological need – one that reduces stress, builds connection, and supports both physical and emotional wellbeing. When guided with intention, touch becomes more than technique – it becomes a powerful tool for connection, awareness, and release.
This workshop is an invitation into nurture, relaxation, and shared presence. Through partnered exploration, you’ll learn how to give and receive touch in a way that supports the body, calms the nervous system, and deepens connection.
Together, you’ll explore how to:
Release tension and build connection through touch
Support balance within the energetic body
Improve mobility through guided movement and partnered techniques
Reset and recalibrate the nervous system in a held, supported space
Led by Anna Nichols – Zenthai Shiatsu bodyworker, martial artist, freediver, and shibari practitioner – this experience blends structure with play. You’ll be guided through partner-based movement, trust-building exercises, and a series of therapeutic techniques including acupressure, floor-based bodywork, and supported stretching.
This is not traditional massage – it’s an exploration of connection through movement, presence, and intentional touch.
Who this is for
This is a partnered workshop. You’re encouraged to attend with a partner – this could be a friend, lover, play partner, or someone you trust.
Solo attendees are welcome and may be paired on the day.
No prior experience is needed. Expect a supportive environment where curiosity, learning, and even a bit of awkward laughter are all part of the process.
Important Notes
This is a somatic and energetic practice. Sensual awareness may arise, however this is not a sexual workshop.
Clear boundaries, communication, and consent are central to the experience. You’ll be guided in how to engage with others in a way that is respectful, safe, and mutually agreed.
What to Wear
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing suitable for movement (gym wear or light tracksuit).
Long sleeves and pants recommended.
Socks required.
